Welcome to our 'Ward Family Website' which is mainly genealogy related.
Here we share with you much information on our Ward surname and all the family ancestors that we have researched, together with my wife's family line, namely Lomax, although this site also covers so much more interesting subjects such as occupations, brief history of towns, census extracts, and plenty of history, as we have created a complete section on 'Britain In The 1800's', where you can view a great deal of information.

Please make a visit to the Summerseat section of our website - There is so much information, including - A history of Rowland's Church, also full transcriptions that I have done of the 1841, 1871 & 1881 censuses for the Summerseat area of Lancashire. Plus a photo gallery of Summerseat, together with 105 photos of the headstones in Rowland's top graveyard.
I have added pages where you can view many photo's of the Old Graveyard at Rowland's which is unfortunately now closed due to the dangerous condition that it is in, I have also given you some information regarding the old graveyard.
